Game you regret trading in, selling, giving away, etc.?
What game do you regret getting "rid" of? I definitely wish I would have never traded in my Battlefield: Bad Comany 2 game in. I would still be definitely playing it today. What about you?
Hitman: Blood Money. I S-Ranked it ages ago and then sold it on ebay. Regretted it so much I then bought another copy of it from ebay a few months later.
Yea, I have been looking at rebuying B:BC2 again, but it is still kinda high considering it came out awhile ago. Maybe one day I will bite, because I love playing it still at friend's houses.
I let a friend borrow my copy of Ultima V.
I have the game again, but I miss all the boxed goodies :(
i recently almost re-bought a copy of bioshock 2. i missed it alot, and gamestop had the LE on sale for $30 on cyber monday...
im also finding myself missing prototype with all of this murder your maker bull working its way around
another reason for my regret.... the Vietnam pack.... I usually never trade games in, but I decided to be "smart" and trade it in to save on another game. Where is that stupid time machine Coke Zero uses in its commercials? lol
Any game I ever traded in. Man I was an idiot. You know how many times I want to replay an old game only to remember I don't got it anymore.
Too many to recall. But one of the ones that really sticks out is the original Bioshock. I traded it in because our first 360 had RROD'd and although I was just about to beat the game, I lost all my save data. I didn't think I wanted to play all the way through the game again. But wishing I hadn't traded it in.
"Any game I ever traded in. Man I was an idiot. You know how many times I want to replay an old game only to remember I don't got it anymore. "
This. I never should have gotten rid of my Mastersystem and SNES games. I think most of my N64 games may be gone too. I really miss my copy of Ultimate Carnage for SNES though.
Resistance 2
Not the greatest game ever, but I was really enjoying a lot of the Multiplayer. Then Killzone 2 was coming out ( I picked up R2 late) , and I heard all this awesome yang about how crazy awesome and revolutionary the multiplayer was. So I put R2 towards KZ2, convinced I wouldn't play R2 anymore.....HUGE mistake, regretted in only a couple of days.
I traded about half of My PS1 and N64 collection two years ago to buy a 360. I didn't lose many games, but I still regret it
Ico. Traded it in a EB for about a dollar.
I didn't really enjoy the game, yet looking back at things I was stupid for getting rid of it for so little.
One of the Mega Man X games for the PS1 (I think it was 4). I lent it to a friend. I did get it back, but it stopped working.
The worst thing in life I ever did was trade in my gamecube with over 20 games for a fucking PSP and like 2 games to EB Games when I was around 13-14.
I'm now 19 and would love to kick the shit out of 14 year old me, I miss Timesplitters 2 and Animal Crossing the most.
Just about every game I got rid of .... after a year or so has passed I always want to play that game again. I decided to not sell my games anymore...well unless I didn't like the game then it's alright to sell it of course :P
Tetrisphere for N64.
I hadn't played the N64 in a long time let alone had it connected. So I sold it in a garage sale.
Man, pretty much all of them, but off the top of my head the biggest regrets are SNES games, because I went and bought a SNES recently:
Earthbound, with the original packaging + strategy guide and in pretty good condition, sold by my mom at a yard sale (probably for like $2)
Zelda: ALttP
SNES FF II and III
None from the current generation since I have vowed to keep games except when I KNOW I won't play again (mostly old sports games if I get a newer version). I am probably keeping a bunch I won't touch, but you never know! Selling to Gamestop is almost never a good idea in the long run, and its such a ripoff.
A bunch of my old PC games. I can;t think of them off the top of my head, but I remember shortly after getting rid of them how mad I was at myself for doing so.
Let my brother trade his copy of Uncharted 2 for Valkyria Chronicles. Now that I listened to the Bombcast GOTY Delibs from last year again to get in the spirit, I wish I were playing that game...
Borderlands and Dragon Age: Origins. Damn I miss those games. I'll probably pick them up via Games on Demand again eventually.
Actually, I'm done trading in games, I always get raped and regret my impatience when I want to play an old game only to discover that I traded it in for a fraction of the cover price.
I have never sold or traded in a game, and I never really understood people that do (but that's another topic I guess).
I did however lend my SNES copy of Mario Kart to someone, and have never seen it again :( I have since replaced it of course.
I do miss a lot of boxes and manuals of my SNES games, for which I blame my mother and her insistence on keeping things tidy. At the time, while annoying, I wasn't to bothered by it. Now I think it is quite a shame.
I've never sold, rented, or traded in any game except for a few. Smartball, Champions of Narrath, and DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball. I winded up purchasing Smartball a while after renting it. Don't remember when though.
However, I DO regret lending my copy of Earthbound out to a friend, who then lent it out to one of his friends, and then went POOF my Earthbound T_T. Never to be seen or heard from again. I remember the day I bought it in it's giant display case at my local Funcoland.
-tear-
Crackdown and Tomb Raider Legend. I've got Freedom Fighters on the Gamecube, thanks for reminding me to ebay it. I've got it for the xbox anyway but won't play it again.
" Ico. Traded it in a EB for about a dollar. I didn't really enjoy the game, yet looking back at things I was stupid for getting rid of it for so little. "Yeah! I sold it for 60$.
The game I regret losing was Space Hulk: Revenge of the Blood Angels. I loved that game, lend it, and never saw it again.
Well, I didn't get "rid" of it, but my Batman: Arkham Asylum was "mysteriously" stolen from my locker at my previous job, and apparently no one knows a thing, as one would expect... Fortunately, I had already finished the game.
But yeah, right now I'm waiting for some really cool sale to buy it again...
