Choose Our Own Adventure! (11/11/2015)

Hello! Welcome back to fun town!

We'll be playing a new game on our next live (and free) Choose Our Own Adventure, so here's your chance to get your suggestions in. Mostly looking for games we haven't played or that we've missed. Maybe stuff we would never have heard of, but you think we should play. Also, the game should be fairly easy to commercially purchase and run on currently available hardware.

Please make the first line of your post just the name of the game for ease of tallying. Feel free to do more text under that.

Also, we're looking to do a new game very show, so don't be sad if we leave ya hanging on the narrative at the end of the day. It's possible we will continue it somewhere else, but we make no promises.

in honor of its sequel finally being released since the last vote. It's an incredible JRPG, the best I've played since at least the ps1 era. It's not too well known for how great it is, so I think it deserves a chance like this to get more eyes on it.

It is a Siberian made truck racing/driving game that is set in future (past?) Southern California. There are characters and a plot of some sort. Its $9.99 on Steam.

This might be somewhat difficult to represent but... one of the Ice Pick Lodge games might be fun? Either Pathologic or The Void.

It's a point-and-click adventure game set in a cartoon world where your character is an FMV/digitized Christopher Lloyd. It's basically Vinny: The Game.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

This would be a great opportunity to expose more people to this hidden gem of a game series, like @genericbrotagonist said.

The combat in these games is enjoyable, but the story is where it's really at. The writing is super freaking charming, and there's a shiplo- no wait, an airshipload of it.

I'll see myself out.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Wii Ware)

You can still get this cheap on the Wii Shop through the Wii mode on a Wii U :) Its a great port of the DS classic and one you contradiction lovers would really dig :D

Tales from the Borderlands

Enjoyed Austin playing episode 1 on his Extra Life stream and would love to see more if it with Vinny and Alex too.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

After seeing so much of Until Dawn recently (thanks Lang), the psychological examination aspects are what remind me of it.

Cities: Skylines.

Legend of Heroes is a good game but would make for a boring as hell stream.

Please play more Life is Strange, its great and selfishly I would have no other way of seeing the story otherwise.

Cities Skylines could be fun if Vinny is let loose.

Chroma Squad

It's a Power Rangers style game with turn-based, grid combat and TV-studio (base) management. The story is presented like TV show episodes with forking paths. The game came and went without people taking much notice, except for the Power Rangers company who tried to shut them down, which ironically is the plot of the game as well. Chroma Squad tickled my funny bone and taught me that I was nostalgic for Sentai shows.

I would push for Tales from the Borderlands, but I'm happy now that Austin has covered it in video for the site. :)

Best (most?) styyyyle of 2015. Also fucking crazy and inscrutable with some fairly unique twists on JRPGs. It's also really cheap. More people should know about it.

'The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky'

You know what, I'll throw my hat in for 'The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky'. I haven't played it yet, but the series has been the news lately and the game is creeping up my backlog, would be cool to see the guys play it, maybe it'll bump it up the top of my backlog.
