Is it just me, and this might be an unpopular opinion, but does Vinny always seem to give really bad advice to people on the giant beast cast?
Does Vinny always seem to give bad advice on the Beastcast?

Hmm I can't remember the exact episode but the giant beast cast crew was offering advice to a social anxious person who had a coworker offer to build a gaming PC for them but the person was thinking the coworker expecting to be friended or to play games with them, and so vinny offered the advice to after he gets the built PC and ruin it so as to dissolve any friendmilur intent or something like that
@ztshp: you are aware he was joking right?
@ztshp: Yeah, I'm pretty sure he was joking.
"First step to a healthy relationship? make sure you have more shit on the other person than they have on you"
Idk, Vinny's advice seems pretty great to me
Best. Advice. Ever.
Edit: Also, OP, as everyone else has said; that one example is a joke. I haven't even heard it, and I get that it's a joke, based on the stupidness of the advice alone.
Yeah, Vinny always almost does a goof in the advice segments - but he also has some of the best advice around. Just gotta listen to his tone.
To be fair, that whole email about the friendly coworker wanting to build the guy a computer was bizarre, because why was that ever a problem in the first place.
I understand where they were coming from - he just felt awkward about explaining to the guy that he wasn't interested in playing games together. I know sometimes people can get enthusiastic and keep messaging you saying, "Hey let's play together!" and it can feel a little embarrassing to shut them down, especially if they've just done something nice for you like helping to build a PC.
So you titled the thread with "always" but only gave one example that you couldn't remember. There has to be more examples for of pattern advice. I agree with the rest, you are not picking up on Vinny being funny or sarcastic.
Vinny is usually the one who gives the best advice actually. Like that time someone said he had the whole weekend free and Vinny suggested that instead of playing videogames all weekend he should clean the house and do something nice for his wife.
When he's not giving good advices he's just joking and it's more than obvious when that's the case.
This is either a troll topic, or OP has no idea what he's talking about.
those aren't mutually exclusive.
@magmamud: I need to know how many people on these boards dipped oreos into nacho cheese.
Oh dear god OP, please tell me that you are the person who wrote in asking for advice about the coworker building the PC and that you took Vinny's advice seriously and followed it to a T.
If so, I need to hear how this worked out.
@james_ex_machina: I had titled the thread vinny's advice but some how it got changed to a summary of the first post so I did use and absolute as the title but I think the new title has gotten it a lot more attention so I'm glad
