Man, that's how people talk... at least how me and my friends talk. Basically I barely notice when they do curse because it's in context and sounds natural, and my rule is, if the cursing is to a level where I don't realize it, then it's right. So, NO!

I don't think they should change a thing.  If they naturally curse a lot, then they shoul do so on the show.  Doesn't bother me one bit, and I don't want them to have to concentrate on censoring themselves.

Omg, hell no.

Nothing wrong with people saying "fuck", its a word, get over yourself.

Well, i guese im being biast because im the biggest Jay and Silent Bob fan.

How would you like to say things? Instead of Jeff yelling "2Human MotherFucker!" While pulling out his gat (which was awesome :P), would you like him to say "2Human MotherFricker" and pull out a carebear?

Seriously, nothing wrong with swearing. And theres nothing wrong with saying it alot, if you say any word too much it will start to sound stupid.

If you dont like the F bomb, dont listen to the bombcast, rated r movies, etc. Then you should be fine man ;)

There's no reason to use it excessively. It's fine if they use it, but they need to use it in good taste and not just litter it over everything they say.

Don't force censorship on yourselves at all, but don't force profanity either.  Keep it natural and funny.

Well that's a bit true it isn't much fun to simply hear a bunch of drunk guys swearing, but now I'm overreacting it. Maybe it was just this one time.

If they want to swear let them, id rather they just talked about games for 2 hours rather than carefully planning and slowing everything down to prevent swearing.

It’s entirely up to Giantbomb and what type of image they want to make of themselves. If they want to appeal to the “hardcore” fuck-touting adults and pre-pubescent kids who think swearing is cool, then they can they do whatevz. If they want to appeal to the “E for all” demographic, then they should cut down.  Personally, i think the swearing isn't excessive enough to warrant an angry thread. I think they do it the correct amount to emphasise their points.

I only noticed lots of swearing on the one episode.  Otherwise, I've had no problems with language on the Bombcast.

I think they are too loose with things(swearing etc). And to the people who who say "well they were drunk so whatever" exactly they were drunk and recorded a podcast, which by the way i was actaully offended to listen to.

At the moment I don't think it's a big issue. Though, I definitely get the sense that the guys are swearing a lot purely because the couldn't do so at their previous jobs.

The wider issue here is that it could be detrimental to the site's image in the long run. I expect a certain amount of professionalism from journalists and if the F-bombs start coming thick and fast, eventually its just going to seem immature.

For now though, all is well.

I think we should cuss SLIGHTLY less but they should do whatever the fuck they want. GiantBomb isn't a kiddy site & isn't CNET. We're not here to cater to pansies...

Personally if someone doesn't  like it they just shouldn't listen to it. I don't think it will hurt the Bomb Cast at all...I'm glad they're not acting like they're some stuck up site that has to be politically correct.

some of you act like swearing is cool. I have not watched these vids so I cant really judge. But swearing constantly does not = mature like some of you say, in fact its the opposite.

Personally, whatever the GB staff wants to do, let them do it.  If you don't like them swearing, then GTFO.  So far, with the amount of people that are on the forums, as well as the Alexa rating, it would seem like the site is already a success.  Personally, it's the only site I even go to anymore.  All the other places are prudes and boring for the most part...besides Kotaku.

I don't think they really even swear that much.  Unless I never notice it but it seems that they may go a whole episode without swearing.  Personally I could care less.  If they decided to say fuck every five minutes then that's a different story.  If they just say it because they do than it's fine.  Usually when they say something is really fucking cool, I know it's pretty awesome.

No, the bombcast to me is a complete freedom for the members of Giantbomb, I don't think they should be conscious of trying to limit swearing. In fact such awareness of behavior might take away from what makes the bombcast so unique

No, excessive would be saying it as much as they say "dude".  As it is, they're just saying it casually to improve sentences.  They ARE sentence enhancers after all, so they're using the F-bomb (FUCK for you who aren't in with the acronym) like it's meant to be used.

OP doesn't get the question right.  "Should there be excessive swearing" is a lot different than "should there be swearing". Should there be EXCESSIVE swearing? Of course the answer's no. Should there be swearing? Of course there should be. We're (mostly) all adults here.

No, actually curse words are no less legitimate than any other word in the English language.

We are adults and they are words we use to help us through times of great anger, stress, or excitement. Someone who doesn't curse is not morally better or more mature than one who does.

More swearing ffs!!!! Not everyone is christian propaganda fed hounds like you in the USA.

Swearing is just amplifications, so what is so sinful about them?

Remember that swearing will be taboo and BAD, as long as people refrain from using them. If swearing is all around, the taboo and negativity people get from them will dissapear.

Except for 1 episode, there's like an average of 2 f words per bombcast, if at all. Hardly anything to get upset about, even if you're some politically correct pansy.

I didn't mind it. I dislike when people hold themselves back, or worse, when they stuff like heck or dang... Seriously... Who says heck? Now, I don't mean there should be unnecessary swearing, I just didn't find this to be that bad.

But seriously if you guys actually care about them swearing and get "Offended" by this, then you need to get the FUCK out and go to another site, I`m not usually the one to say this but who the fuck cares, it`s a podcast, it`s not like your forced to listen, this is the Giant mother fucking Bomb, not the Care Bear countdown.

OK, so... I'm going to lock this? Seems like the main points were made months ago and the people who keep dragging it back up aren't really adding anything new to the conversation.
