    Overview

    Fortress 2 is a 2D MMO artillery game developed by CCR and released for the PC in South Korea on October 1999.

    The game later received two major revisions: Fortress 2 Blue on January 2001 and Fortress 2 Red on September 2011. It also received a release in Japan on October 2001, in Taiwan on May 2002, in North America (as BB Tanks) on May 2007, in Russia on April 2008, and in China on July 2013. It was also ported to arcades by Eolith in 2001 as Fortress 2 Blue Arcade.

    The game also received two sequels: Fortress 3 in 2003 and New Fortress in 2005. Both were discontinued shortly after their release, with players returning to Fortress 2. It also received a 52-episode Korean-Japanese animated TV series called Fortress, along with multiple manga adaptations.
