I'm looking forward to seeing how the voice acting is. It going to take me a little while to get used to the fact that I've been saying "Cecil" wrong all these years.
Can't wait for this. I must have played the original two dozen times over the course of my life, and yet I'm extremely excited for this version. The Cecil pronounciation will definitely take some getting used to, but I'm happy with what appears to be sprite-perfect 3D maps and Amano-accurate enemy models.
Just hearing the soundtrack gives me the shivers. Bring it!
I remember finishing Final Fantasy IV on the SNES (as II) when I was 11 or 12 years old. I love this game, and I'm super excited to get my hands on this version. Of all the Final Fantasy games, I think the SNES era ones have the most to benefit from being remade.
I cant wait to get the DS version of this classic. This was litteraly the first JRPG I played and it made me fall in love with that genre. A lot of other franchises/games in that genre have been disapointing, but for me the Final Fantasy series are the pinnacle of that type of game.
From what I saw up to now (before playing it) the 3-d remake of FF4 will be very appealing; for newcomers and series veterans. At least it wont feel like playing the exact same game all over.
Will there ever be a true, updated, 3-d remake of Final Fantasy VI ? I really hope so, IMO FF6 is by far the best game in the series...
I'm not real crazy about the visual design of the 3D models, and the voices + name pronunciations are a little weird to me... but despite all that, I can't wait to play it. I've played the original to death already, and even played the GBA version. I'm down with a slightly different take on this classic game. If it turns out to be good, then that's great. If it sucks, then no big loss. Everyone will just go back to the originals and forget this version ever existed.
i just played it for about an hour and had to force myself to stay awake. i played the GBA remake and just wondered why i was playing the same game again.
and is it too much to ask that they make these characters look like adults? i can't tell you how effing sick i am of SD characters. i just can't take them seriously.
I went into the mall last week looking for a DS game. I was left with a choice: buy Tactics A2 now, or buy IV in a week.
I chose the former. I've yet to regret it. I suppose I'll end up buying the latter eventually, though.
atejas:I was excited at the beginning of FFIII on the DS, but I ended up not enjoying it as much. They tried to strengthen the story of the game but it just wasn't enough for me. This game might be remade but the story is still solid.
skeptical, but hopeful
not too fond of remade games, and I didnt overly enjoy FFIII
