    In Tolkien's lore, Evendim is the name of the lake upon which Annuminas was found.  It was the ruling seat of King Elendil, where the kingdom of Arnor was located. 

    In Lord of the Rings Online, Evendim was the first new area made available after release as part of a free content patch.  In addition to the area, Evendim was also the primary location for the Epic Quest line in Book IX.  Later, the instance of Annuminas was added, along with a quest line to restore Aragorn's sword from the Shards of Narsil.
