So a bunch of people are doing that "30 Days of Gaming" thing; I guess I might as well, too.

Day 1 - Very first video game.
The first game I ever went out to a store and bought myself with my own money was Duke Nukem Manhattan Project.  A seriously underrated oldschool-style platformer, returning Duke to his 2D roots while maintaining all the stuff you'd expect from his games: gore, vulgarity, highly sexualized women, etc.

Naturally it's not the first game I ever played, mind you.

    2D Duke was fucking fantastic.

I had a shareware disk for my PC that had a demo of it on there.  I must have played it at least 50 times.

Hell yeah!  I got the demo of Duke Manhattan as soon as I heard about it, played it on all difficulties, got all of the secrets and nukes and could not wait for the full version.  I also played the hell out of Duke Nukem 2 for DOS.  Man, good times.
