This is a great PR move as well.

Sometimes these ppl doens't have the resource to finish a project like for example the half life black mesa mod. Also I don't know if he is good enough to remake the game, however I hope they follow through and get this project going.

Proving that not being a dick about fan-made projects (which are rarely finished anyways) is an excellent way to gain good PR.

You know, for me, Gearbox is getting to the point where I respect and love them mostly as much as I love Blizzard and Valve. 

Gearbox has grown over the years into my favorite developer and this helps keep them in that spot.

I knew there was a reason I loved Gearbox aside from the fact they brought us Borderlands.

Props to Gearbox.. I would pay retail price for that game if the quality was good..

This should be an official project for Gearbox.
