Dreamcasts are expensive on the secondhand market. Anyone know why, other than rarity?
Dreamcast
Platform »
The Dreamcast is the fifth and final console developed by Sega and the first of the sixth-generation of consoles to release. As the first 128-bit system, it was the first to offer truly arcade-quality 3D graphics. It is famous for being the first console to include worldwide online capability, its game library, and its unexpectedly short life span.
Why are Dreamcast's so expensive?
what is a 3d sound chip??
read description, sound is 3D, awesome!
Dream casts cost a lot because they were hard to find when they first came out. But when the ps2 came out they were put away for the ps2. But i dont understand. The thing i just said was about 10 years ago which was when they did cost a lot. Now a days you can get them at almost any used game retail place (not gamestop >_>) for reletively cheap prices.
I found mine in a Goodwill for $10. Now before I come off like too much of a pompous ass, the system didnt come with any controllers or games. All it had was the ac adapter and av cables so as of now its simply a paper weight that I can plug in. But ultimately one must never underestimate the awesomeness of ones goodwill/salvation army/ thrift store.
I have about 6 dreamcasts at my work. We sell them fro like 34.99 with two controllers and a vmu. If you pay for than $50 for just the system you are getting ripped off.
I got one for £20.50 at Gamestation, with a controller, Shenmue, Toy Commander, Virtua Tennis and Sega Rally Championship.
