    Overview

Dragon Ball Z II: Gekishin Furiiza!! (loosely translated to "Dragon Ball Z II: Fierce God Frieza!!") is a sci-fi fantasy RPG developed by TOSE and published by Bandai for the Famicom exclusively in Japan on August 10, 1991.

The sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Kyoushuu! Saiyajin, Dragon Ball Z II brings the card-based system to the second main Dragon Ball Z arc (known as the "Namek Saga") of the Dragon Ball manga and anime. With Piccolo slain and Goku hospitalized after repelling the attack from the Saiyan invader Vegeta, the remaining Z Warriors set off towards the planet Namek (with Goku making his trip later) to find the planet's Dragon Balls and revive Piccolo (as his death caused Earth's Dragon Balls to become inert). Along the way, they must fight off both Vegeta and the forces of the universal emperor Frieza (including the elite Ginyu Force). The game's story also features elements from the first animated TV special, as Goku can optionally fight Frieza's forces on the planet Kanassa.

Although it was not included in the 2013 Nintendo 3DS compilation J Legend Retsuden, it was released as a downloadable pre-order bonus.
