RPG Fighter is the theme genre of Fighting Games. That had RPG elements like character build ups and variable stories.
Many games feature a story which involves saving the world and its inhabitants, often single handedly.
Designed as non-fictional, relating to real or known history, and to claim or reveal that these events actually happened, but were deliberately forgotten long ago.
Characters that harbor their past even though it may be revealed later. They are commonly uncovered in a number of video games.
A shield bash is the act of using one's shield as a weapon to stun, knock back, or otherwise inflict damage on an enemy.
Enemies that hide behind shields.
Slashing weapons are designed to cut and slice rather than causing blunt trauma. Examples include swords, axes, claws, naginatas, or even whips.
SNK fighting games are notorious for boss fights of ludicrous difficulty. Common symptoms of SNK Boss Syndrome include absurdly high attack priority, overpowered special attacks, and AIs that read button inputs. Though it's most common in SNK games, the syndrome has also appeared in games by other companies.
SOLDIER is an elite military group of Mako-washed soldiers who work for the Shinra Electric Power Company in Final Fantasy VII.
Featured mainly in fighting games, special attacks usually require more than just pressing a button to activate. They are usually unique or at least varied between characters.

A deceptively powerful enemy featured in many Final Fantasy games almost always wearing a brown cloak and equipped with a lantern and small knife. Infamous for being able to instantly KO one or all party members after slowly approaching them.
Weapons designed to be wielded with both hands, typically due to their size in relation to the one wielding them. Examples include longswords, claymores, lances, scythes, and giant hammers among others.
