Sometimes a fun place, other times a nightmare come true.
A location created to house and display various musical, combative, or sports events for spectators.
First appeared in Super Mario Kart, this arena is shaped like a square. The GBA version is a bit different and took place in the desert. Returning in Mario Kart Wii, the SNES version is one of 5 Retro Arenas.
A new arena that appears in Mario Kart Wii. It has a Chain Chomp rolling around the arena, squishing anyone along the way.
The home and origin of the Kremlings, it is where Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2 take place.
Donkey Kong Island is the location Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong call home. It is filled with many tropical fruits, hoards of bananas, and countless evil Kremlings sent by K. Rool.

In Paper Mario, Dry Dry Ruins is the location of the second Star Spirit, Mamar, and home to Tutankoopa and his Chain Chomps. It is also featured in Mario Kart Wii as a Special Cup course.
Gangplank Galleon is the location of the final boss fight in Donkey Kong Country, and is reused as the opening world in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Gloomy Gulch is a haunted world featuring ghosts, forests, and abandoned libraries. It is the fifth world explored in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Jungle Japes is a stage in Donkey Kong 64 and the Super Smash Bros. series
K. Rool's Keep is the castle that rests atop Crocodile Isle, and is the sixth world in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Kongo Jungle is the first world in Donkey Kong Country.
Krazy Kremland is the fourth world in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and is based around an amusement park.
A course in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as the first course in the Mushroom Cup. It's a great course for beginners.
The 3rd course of the Star Cup in Mario Kart Wii. It is also the game's 11th course. It also appeared in Mario Kart 7 as a retro course.
Moo Moo Country is a re-make of the famous Mario Kart 64 track, Moo Moo Farm.
A large, technologically advanced city built by the Pig King in Mother 3. This is also a stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Skyscrapers are a type of building defined by their height and continuous inhabitance. The skyscraper location is for games with specific levels that take place in or on tall buildings.
The Flying Krock is a giant helicopter used by King K. Rool to escape from K. Rool's Keep in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. It is the seventh and last world (aside from The Lost World), and features only two levels.
A desert that has a Thwomp in the middle of the arena. It appears in Mario Kart Wii.
Timber's island is where Diddy Kong Racing takes place. It consists of different zones, each with it's own different type of geography and climate.
Tropical islands have been featured in major games such as Far Cry and Monkey Island. With the technology now available to render lush vegetation and sparkling sea water, this location has become increasingly popular.
