    A top-down isometric helicopter shoot 'em up originally for the Sega Genesis, which was later ported to a variety of platforms. It is best known for its open-ended mission design and was followed by several sequels.

    I played this game so many times as a kid on snes and also loved jungle strike on genesis.  Anyone else out there remember this???

    hell ya all the strike games kick ass. Just got soviet strike for saturn. Urban strike kinda sucked tho.

    I honestly never got too much into the game but I always thought it was super cool.  I'd love to see a new Desert Strike playable from inside the cockpit or other views...  Just as long as it's still an action game first, not a sim.
