Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
Halflings, also known as hobbits, average about three and a half feet tall. They have an innate affinity to nature and possess both the agility and dexterity to make great rogues. Halflings are generally good people, but also have a mischievous side that my infuriate others.

Orcs/Orks/Orques are a fictional race of tough humanlike creatures, often with green or black skin, originally coming from the Saxon word for the Normans during the invasion, meaning demon or foreigner.
A system in which the player is allowed to control multiple characters. Most commonly seen in role playing games. Can also be used to describe party systems in the MMORPG genre, which brings a group of players together to accomplish various tasks.
Many games allow you to add characters to your playable group upon fulfilling certain conditions. This is a central mechanic of many RPG franchises, including Fire Emblem and Suikoden. These can be NPCs or even enemy characters that the player persuades to join their cause, through sidequests or dialogue options.
