Engineer Isaac Clarke battles a polymorphic virus-like alien infestation that turns human corpses into grotesque undead alien monsters called "Necromorphs" while trying to survive on board an infested interstellar mining ship named the USG Ishimura.
Well, I don't know what to say but from every other review I have read, these complaints the reviewer lists don't appear much or at all. It just goes to show that OXM is NOT a good review magazine.
"but to help his team escape the ship via 12 seemingly endless scavenger hunts, like finding the key to access the mining bay to destroy the tethers to release the asteroid to launch the SOS."
"But like a Russian nesting doll, the overarching scavenger hunt leads to even tinier hunts. While partaking in dozens of wild-goose chases, you must fend off numerous “necromorphs,” the terribly deformed animated dead that infest Ishimura"
Hello OXM, let me introduce you to "Every Video Game."
I really don't get what they were expecting this game to be. Are you supposed to just have a 12 hour linear run through a spaceship too big for its own good or what? I mean seriously, you're going to end up backtracking and finding stuff at least a little bit in a game like this. From reading the review, I'm starting to think they got this confused with Too Human.
The only problems they seem to outline is the backtracking, and having to go through crates all the time. I can't say that this game deserves a 6.5 just based on that.
