A prequel to Dead Space, Extraction tells the story of the original Necromorph outbreak on the USG Ishimura. The game trades the original's third-person action for a hectic on-rails shooter from a first-person perspective.
It won't do 100K. If Punch Out on the Wii, a heavily promoted, Nintendo 1st party game from an established franchise struggled to do 100K, then a rail shooter from a relatively unknown franchise, with crappy box art won't do 100K.
@PercyChuggs: I wouldn't be so sure about that. I think that Dead Space has a chance of doing well. Specially after watching this gameplay video they've released, showing that it is really differente than your average Rail Shooter.
I'm not saying it'll be a Blockbuster, but the 100k doesn't seem so farfetched.
Uhm, well I am no expert but being the fact that it's most likely gonna be just a dumbed-down rail shooter version of a really great original product... not well.
60-70k. Depends all on the marketing. With the Conduit, the people who were wanting a good shooter on the Wii probably already had a 360/PS3/PC for that. It may be the same situation for Dead Space.
The box art Meowayne posted is the official box art I can tell the one you've posted is fake due to the fact Isaac Clarke isn't in Extraction. Unfortunately, EA thought that if they stuck tentacle rape on the box art it would attract people's attention... >_>
