When are we going to see Capcom make a sequel to this stellar game?

What's this about a wii Dead Rising?

I hope that most of the original games flaws are fixed in the sequel.  Hoping for it too be a lot for free roam than an in the end errand based game.

I figured Capcom would be eager to milk this series after the first did so well. A Wii port seems strange though, I really can't see it doing as well as say Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. I'm expecting more like No More Heroes sales. Hopefully that doesn't leave a bad taste in their mouth for a Dead Rising 2, though I've heard rumor a sequel is being made but Capcom is not the one making it.

I thought I read and article somewhere that said Capcom was making sequals to Dead Rising and Lost Planet, but mabye I'm remembering wrong.  It would surprise me if they didn't because it sold very well.

Personally I hope they fix alot of the frustrating things with the first game, such as plentiful loading times, and hard to read text on non-hd tv's.

I really loved the first one even with all its flaws, though.  Sticking showerheads into zombies never got old :P

I personally am kind of excited for the Wii Dead Rising, I'm happy they are fixing the story time limit stuff.  I really hope they make a full fledged sequel.  I was pretty bummed that they did not show anything about it at e3.

I remember a rumor about a sequel taking place in Vegas but im not sure if it was ever confirmed or denied. I don't really care where it takes place I loved the first Dead Rising and can't wait till the next one comes out.

Not that exicted for a remake on the Wii even though Ive got one. I think if a Dead Rising game came out with  much better shooting controls maybe even something halo esque in the control scheme that would be awesome. Oh and heck yeah it would have to be based in a small town. Imagine how sweet it would be to mow down thousands with a minigun or a tank!

Not sure about a Wii version though, I'm sure it be a very different game to the 360 version. What are the Giant Bomb rules on pages like that? The Wii version will be a very different game, and is called "Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop" so should it have it's own page?

In the sequel, I hope the area for roaming is bigger (a whole city perhaps? like a vegas area, a forrest area, a suburbs area, etc.)

Dead Rising 2 is my most wanted sequel. The first is one of my favorite games so far this generation. As has been said before, a carnival or theme park type setting would be perfect. Throw in some online co-op and this game cant go wrong.

I would love to see a dead rising 2 come out on 360,ps3.  the first game was my favorite in the current-gen probably until mass effect came out.

I just hope that they make this one for both next-gen consoles. I don't have a 360 anymore so I'm down for everything coming out on PS3, haha.

I loved dead rising.I got ending c.

That would be a dream come true.  If anything I just hope they add a true sandbox mode.

Playing in a city which is going to hell would be awesome. Imagine a liberty city full of zombies :D

Id also love to see Frank West return. A surprisingly great character.

They might announce it in next year e3.

Rumor in the new Game Informer (With Wolfenstein on the cover) that DR2 is under development and will take place in vegas

I agree^^  Dead Rising is one of my favorite games and I would love to see a return, but unfortunately, I have no info.

I'd love a Dead Rising 2. And with the original ending like it did I would expect a sequel to made. I'd just love to see split-screen and online co-op. That would be so good...

My favorite setting for DR2 would definately be a sub-urb. Especially if it was falling apart due to the zombie invasion.
DR still is one of my favorite games for the 360 (possibly of all time) so a sequel would be the greatest thing to happen ever.

Dead Rising was a stellar game, cumbersome at times, but awesome nonetheless. I remember them talking on 1upyours about how they wanted a Dead Rising that used the Guitar Hero Controller, and you would hit combos of notes to kill zombies on screen or something. Wow that would be cool. Zombie Hero

Ive had this game forever, never finished it but I absolutely love it ..

Just a guess but around late 2009 or 2010 sounds reasonable.

Seeing as at the end of the first game, it's shown that Carlito has planted bombs like all around America, a sequel could really have limitless potential. The idea of it being in a city would be great. I'm imagining some kind of I Am Legend vibe with the zombies being more powerful at night or something. Christ, I really hope they announce this soon or my mind is going to keep coming up with more and more scenarios.

A small town in the mountains, a suburb, or a theme park would be my top choices for a new location.

im sure that if Chop Til You Drop does well, We will se a sequel. Hopefully in a special place where it's the size of a city containing a huge park, a vegas type area, a suburb, a carnival, etc. Also words will be bigger, you don't have to be on time, you wont get walkie talkie/possibly cell phone updates as often, and there are more benches, bathrooms, and beds. Also several more guns inculding an automatic nail gun and shotgun.... also the weapons won't die easily. Thats the world I want to live in...also co-op and moar zombies
