Venus Vacation is a Japan-only free-to-play PC title based on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3. The core of the game is to spend Festival Points (FP) to play volleyball matches in order to win items and points. FP recharge over time but can also be fully restored with an item the player can win in game or with DMM's paid currency, but they are also restored when the player level up their account.
The website DualShockers.com composed this handy guide to installing the game.
The most prominent departure from the previous titles is that the volleyball, always a major component of the franchise, has been stripped of a major feature: the player can no longer actually PLAY the volleyball. Xtreme 3 included what was called "Owner mode" which put the player in the place of managing a duo of characters, and that's all the player does in Venus Vacation.
This team management is the entirety of the gameplay in this game. Apart from watching volleyball and giving the team some very simple instructions there isn't much to do. The player can manage their gear, feed swimsuits to other swimsuits to raise their level, buy spins of the "gacha" roulette wheel, and take pictures of the ladies.
As the player level up their account and characters visual novel style cutscenes will unlock. These in turn give more account experience when watched.
