Crack Dot Com was founded by former employees of ID Software and released only one game, the successful sidescroller Abuse, which was heavily influenced by the Aliens vs. Predator franchise. The game sold over 70.000 copies. Abuse has been ported to many platforms and systems including the IPhone. They company however went defunct (in October 1998) before they had been able to release a follow-up game, called Golgotha, an ambitious project which was supposed to be an innovative RTS / FPS hybrid game. The source codes for Abuse and Golgotha have since been released to public domain.
