The spinach eating sailor that got his start in comic books. Lover of Olive Oyl and knock outer of Bluto.
Bluto, or sometimes called Brutus, is Popeye's arch-enemy throughout most of his cartoon career. He loses out to Popeye over Olive Oyl's love and hates spinach. Brutus differed in physical appearance from Bluto. He normally sported a blue shirt and brown pants, and didn't appear to wear any socks.
Olive Oyl is the tall and thin female lead in the Popeye comic strips and cartoons. Often times, Popeye and Bluto fight over her.

Before Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd was the mascot of Sega. He was well-recognized by the public for his appearances in Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. Alex Kidd is the titular protagonist of his respective series, who, although no longer the main mascot, continues to appear in several Sega-related video games and cameos in several other media.
Joe Musashi is a ninja who appears in many of the games of Sega's Shinobi series.
Axel Stone is a recurring protagonist from SEGA's classic Streets of Rage series. He and Blaze are the only two characters to appear in all four games. His trademark uppercut is called the "Ground Upper", though sometimes misheard as "Grand Upper!"
A recurring playable character in Sega's Streets of Rage franchise. She and her friends Axel Stone and Adam Hunter left the police force, becoming vigilantes hunting after Mr. X. Blaze and Axel are the only two characters to have been in all four games.

Uriah is a giant, dragon-cat hybrid who first appeared in the 1985 Sega title, Space Harrier. He guides the protagonist, Harrier, through some of the game's levels, and is assumed to be the fighter's pet or best friend. He has made several cameo appearances outside the game.
