Many games have ammo. In some, you can design your own. Ammo is put in a weapon and fired as a projectile.
This term can refer to both a visible shot onscreen in a shooter, or a round that has been fired from or currently loaded into a weapon.
Typically represented as an orb or a glowing object, the core is the part of an enemy - more specifically, a boss enemy - which you must shoot in order to destroy it. "Shooting the core" is a concept born out of the Shoot-Em-Up genre.
Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.
