2025 saw a lot of wonderful video games released, and a lot of them had wonderful music: we truly are at the point where video games just sound really freaking good. It’s one of my favorite parts of the medium, and every year I like to highlight my favorite soundtracks among games I played. That’s exactly what I’m doing here. Here are some great video game soundtracks that I enjoyed a whole lot from 2025.

Here’s the thing: every year is a weird year for gaming. If you had asked me in 2024, or 2023, or 2013, or 1996, I probably would have said they were strange years in the industry as well. 2025 has seen Saudi Arabian buyouts as we continue to steer ourselves into monopolies. Xbox all but outright saying they don’t care about gaming anymore. Tariffs have loomed over hardware costs as much as generative AI have loomed over development pipelines. Studios have shuttered, critical outlets have changed for the worse (and better).

Happy holidays everyone! The last couple of years I wrote some personal retrospectives based on some rough stuff going on in my life. I could have easily done that again, but decided not to! I did get a bit personal in the Discord Mod GOTY article, so you can find detailed thoughts on my favorite game of the year over there. The year has been rough for lots of us, so I am just going to invite everyone to escape into some gaming nonsense with me for a few minutes.

A side effect of ranking some TMNT games was going back to games I haven't touched for years - decades, even - in any serious way. Some things I probably should've stayed away from.

About 3 months ago I got sick and played through Miitopia. I said at the time that I was going to post a blog about the game but never got around to it, until a FAKE IMPOSTER @imunbeatable80 showed up and challenged me . I simply had to defend the honor of imunbeatable80, who no longer comes to these forums because he finally discovered the greatest game and now he can’t stop playing Billy Hatc...

It's time for another round of recapping and reviewing pro wrestling events! Tonight we are live from my favorite baseball stadium, in one of my favorite cities in the world, Petco Park in lovely San Diego California . I don't have predictions or much of an intro because I did come to the show a bit late, and also I don't watch WWE's weekly shows so I'm not fully on top of all the stories comin...
