Sorta-Pinkish Mento Writes Review for Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, a taxicab 3D platformer that douses you in the gasoline that is its vibrant Sega-style visuals before tossing the lit match that is multiple layers of clandestine tech reveals to seal the deal. We're switching things up on Game OVA this year: Rather than watching old-school anime and playing games based on same, we're looking at anime inspired by games instead. Since I can't help myself, this premiere will cover the first season of Ys OVAs from 1989.

When I wasn't boiling in my britches this June (not an euphemism; it's been an uncomfortably warm month) I managed to squeeze in plenty of Indie games, N64 platformers, Eurotrash NES tapes, Renaissance Minesweeper, Goon Souls, seasonal anime, far more Tingle than I would've preferred, and (gasp!) the end of an epochal Dark Cloud 2 playthrough.

Sony has not earned the good faith to have me buying games from their digital store. Many things they have done have served as a warning. There is no comfort in buying a digital game from Sony. I am not sure what they could do to make me feel that way. I will buy on Steam instead. I'll explain my personal position below, why I found physical more convenient than digital overall, and why I find Steam more convenient than PS Store, and why PC may become more comfortable for console gamers.

We got another couple of retro reviews for N64 games here, since that's suddenly become the hot new thing on Giant Bomb. Two games everyone loves and have definitely heard of before!
