Hello and welcome to my blog again! Nearly about 2 weeks ago, I've made a blog to do with my theory on how this game is released before Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport Reboot . Now this time, I'm going to bring up, how this game quickly becomes the most played and popular driving game of 2021, not just only Xbox Game Pass service users would play it, this also attracts several car lovers as...

My experience with the Far Cry series has been pretty limited. I played a tiny bit of Far Cry Instincts Predator on the 360, then a little more of Far Cry 2, and then most of Far Cry Primal. I have no real memory of Instincts, I sort of enjoyed 2 but ultimately found it too frustrating to get very far in, and I really enjoyed Primal’s unique setting and set of weapons but tired of its mission d...

This October I decided to play through a bunch of games with seasonally appropriate horror themes from my backlog. I wanted to get into the holiday spirit and finally get through some games I’d acquired over the years but didn’t otherwise have the impetus to play. I ended up playing a lot more than I thought I would and much more than I usually do over the course of the month and I really enjoy...

Movies make me cry. TV shows make me cry. Books can make me cry, I absolutely blubbered during a book just last year. Those videos of teenagers asking their stepfathers to adopt them make me cry. But videos game rarely make me cry. Red Dead Redemption has the distinction of being the first game I remember sobbing to. I remember just sitting with the controller in my hand, the game waiting for m...

Dear my followers and visitors on my page It's almost time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox brand which had an incredible lineup of 1st and 3rd parties for a generation to one another. The first party that attracted me to this brand is the original Project Gotham Racing which is a legendary arcade-style racing game that takes place in urban's closed public roads where the contestan...

The greatest strength of the Indie RPG, I've often believed, is in how it is able to truncate what is normally a 50-plus hour experience into something less than half that - usually out of necessity, due to the limited resources available to them and the importance of turnaround to a smaller studio - and still retain the core strengths; the elements that, for me at least, make the RPG genre so...

I did not manage to snag a PS5 at launch, like so many other people, but I did get a Gamestop bundle in late January, meaning I've had the console for nearly 10 months. My excitement over the PS5 was a bit blunted by just how hard it was to get one, and also by the fact that I'd had a Series X for over 2 months at that point, and already experienced 9th gen graphics. Nonetheless the PS5 had the...

Note: Although this was posted in November the game itself was started in October and finished November 1st. These aren't necessarily horror games but rather games with strong horror elements. I've decided to blog about these games and whether...

Sometimes, finding Game Pass titles is like the candy in line for the cashier. You think “why not, I’m already here” and throw it in your download queue. That’s the case for me with Rain on Your Parade, a comedic puzzle game made by Unbound Creations. The most reductive way to describe Rain on Your Parade is Untitled Goose Game, but you’re a cloud. While the inspiration is pretty clear, I found...

I have owned all but a handful of the major video game consoles released since the NES. Some have been great, some mediocre, but all of them have felt special in their own way. Getting a new console has always been like getting a fresh start in gaming, with a whole new library to explore and new ways of seeing and experiencing games. Until the Xbox Series X. While the Xbox Series X is a signifi...

In a bid to finally join everyone in the present, I've finally embarked on my first playthrough of a 2021 game . Yaaay! Scarlet Nexus is the other big RPG to launch from Bandai Namco this year, some months before the seventeenth entry in their long running Tales franchise Tales of Arise (that's a "stay tuned"), and it immediately creates a strong impression with its psychokinetic action and unc...

After a few unsuccessful attempts to get a few other Indies running on this potato - I really need to upgrade soon; it's a thing when I can't even get pixel platformers to run at an acceptable framerate - I fall back to my usual lo-fi option: a picross game. Kinda hard to make a picross game that doesn't run on everything, unless it's 3D or something. Pixross was released in 2020 by Kenney, a D...

It takes a game like Unpacking to fully understand the possibility space of the modern games ecosystem. The title sums up, in a single word, the entire experience. In Unpacking, you take all sorts of household items out of moving boxes and place them in a home as you follow the path of one woman’s life. It’s a concept that fits into what I’ve started calling “alt-dev.” Many indie developers are...
