Overview
The Colorado Rockies are a Major League Baseball team that played their first game in 1993 at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado. In 1995, the team moved to Coors Field and has played there ever since. Also in 1995, the Rockies qualified for the post-season for the first time in franchise history by winning the National League Wild Card with a victory over the San Francisco Giants on the final day of the season. Since then, the Rockies also won the National League Wild Card in 2007 and 2009. In 2007, the Rockies advanced to the World Series for the first time in franchise history, but were swept by the Boston Red Sox in four games.
