    Overview

Cleopatra Fortune Plus is a tile-matching puzzle game developed by Altron and released by Taito for arcades (using Dreamcast-based Sega NAOMI hardware) exclusively in Japan on May 2002.

The sequel to the 1996 game Cleopatra Fortune, Plus features a higher-definition anime-based art style, reworked graphics and music, voiceovers, a new antagonist (Zenobia, who sends garbage blocks to the player in one-player mode), and a new gameplay mechanic involving Jewel Blocks.

    Gameplay

    Jewel Blocks

Jewel Blocks now come in five colors: blue, red, green, cyan, and yellow. Clearing them now fill up five gauges of matching colors. When a gauge is filled, it is automatically used to summon a special version of the Jewel Block which, when cleared, have one of the following effects:

    • Blue (Hammer) - Clears all Stone blocks.
    • Red (Fire) - Clears all Mummy blocks.
    • Green (Sword) - Changes all large Stone blocks to multiple small Stone blocks.
    • Cyan (Water) - Clears all blocks on the bottom three lines.
    • Yellow (Hourglass) - Temporarily reduces the speed of falling blocks.

In addition, the game includes a five-tier "Jewel Level", which determines the shape of Jewel Blocks that appear (with higher-tier shapes giving a bonus progress towards the Jewel Gauges when cleared).
