Street Fighter...as directed by Tim Burton
So, after reading all about this in an issue of Sega Visions, I absolutely HAD to get my hands on it. And it didn't disappoint...much. I mean, the colourful, wacky characters and awesome backdrops were great. But the controls were a little stiff and unresponsive, the special moves were way too hard to pull off, and the difficulty curve took one too many sharp turns for my liking. Plus, an end boss named N. Boss who's just a bunch of grey balls? What, did they run out of ideas after making the initial 8 or 9 fighters?
The sequels are far superior, but this is a neat little piece of nostalgia for fighting fans, Sega fans, humor fans, and fans of seeing snowmen beat the ever-loving shit out of Elvis impersonators on top of a giant set of piano keys.
