Hopefully bionic commando rearmed ushers in the end of crappy XBLA re-releases meaning that games will get the remakes they deserve (i doubt this will happen but for the sake of argument il hope it will)

My question is which classic games would you like to see given a top quality remake like bionic commando got?

Not Capcom, but a new Streets of Rage 2 with a remixed soundtrack and a few upgrades here and there would be perfect.

The very first Metal Gear game, for sure.

Desert Commander.  A good little turn-based strategy game that was easy to get into.  It would be great over XBLA.  You can blow up Nazis.

Smash TV should be a popular shooter series by now. I know the original was released on XBLA, but the sheer ridiculousness should make it a prime franchise for midway to whip out.

I'd like to see Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World updated on the DS, in the same style as New Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. where you can't jump, and uses the swing mechanic.

Anyway, I think The original sonic should get a remake like that. And I definitely agree with Metal Gear, that would be cool.
