Overview
The Bean Seller is a character in the Zelda universe that sells Link Magic Beans. Link can plant these beans and use them to float to new areas.
Appearances
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Bean Seller can be seen sitting by Zora's River. He is the only source of Magic Beans and charges 10 Rupees for them. Every time Link purchases Magic Beans, the seller pushes the price up by 10 Rupees. The Bean Seller claims that they have increased in popularity, and he will only sell ten Magic Beans to Link. If Links asks about the leftovers in his bag, the Bean Seller will reply that he plans to to eat them.
In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Bean Seller can be found in a hidden hole within the Deku Palace. Again, he sells the Magic Beans for 10 Rupees. The price never goes up and there is no limit to how much Link can purchase. Unlike what would happen in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Bean Seller is not the only source of Magic Beans. The Business Scrub in the Southern Swamp and Clock Town will sell them to Deku Link.
