    Overview

Barunba is a shoot 'em up from Zap and Namco that was released on the MSX and PC Engine platforms in Japan only. While most of the game is horizontally-scrolling, the game will occasionally include vertical and angled scrolling sequences.

The player pilots a spherical ship with side-cannons that can be configured to fire in twelve directions that correspond to hours on a clock. The player can also find and equip different weapon power-ups. There are no lives, but the player can take up to five hits before being destroyed. As with many shoot 'em ups of the era, the difficulty is high and the player will need to memorize courses and enemy patterns to succeed.
