An experiment created by Tyron, Kato Ryuzo, a Zoanthrope ninja known as "Bakuryu the Mole", finds Kenji Ogami the "Earth God" in a village and raises him to be a skilled ninja. He succeeds in teaching Kenji all the techniques that he knows and gives him his own title of "Bakuryu." In Bakuryu's ending from the first Bloody Roar game, his cells begin to break down after the operations that allow him to transform. In the end, he dies horribly and turns into liquid ooze. What a bummer ending.
The character of "Bakuryu the Mole" returns in subsequent Bloody Roar games, but it is not Kato Ryuzo, who remains dead, but his apprentice, Kenji Ogami.
