    The first Backpacker game, released in 1995 for PC and Mac, became a huge success in Scandinavia, topping the best selling charts through the end of the 90s, and along with Myst sold the public on CD-ROM based multimedia products.

    TATI's Danish sister studio Deadline Multimedia (both owned by BMG/Vision Park and later PAN Vision) also created their similar Globetrotter franchise in 2001.
