Honoka is a fighter in the Dead or Alive series. This 18-year-old Japanese school girl first debuted in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
CIA agent as well as friend and love interest of Ryu Hayabusa in the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy. A reinvented Irene appears in the Team Ninja incarnation of the Ninja Gaiden series, as well as a supporting character in the Dead or Alive series.
Kasumi is a fighter in the Dead or Alive series. She uses the Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu fighting style. She is the sister of Hayate and half-sister of Ayane. Winner of the first DoA tournament, she is game designer Tomonobu Itagaki's favorite character.
Murai is the leader of the Shadow Clan in Ninja Gaiden Black & Ninja Gaiden Sigma. He helps Ryu early on in the game, but we learn later on that he has much bigger plans for our protagonist. He is the first and last boss fight in these games.
Muramasa, a elder bladesmith, has shops scattered throughout Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden II. He stocks useful items and upgrades for Ryu Hayabusa's weapons. He also has a brief appearance in Dead or Alive 4.
The son of Ken Hayabusa, Ryu was born into the role of heir to the Dragon Lineage legacy, as required he was trained from childhood to walk the path of a ninja, a path that is plagued with dangers, pain and sorrow.
