    Overview

A notable example of where auto-parkour played a large role was Assassins Creed. By just holding in one button and running towards edges, Altaïr will automatically leap off the edge and grab onto the next thing he comes in contact with that is climbable. While this certainly made the parkour element of the game very easy, the game got criticized for being too repetitive and all the missions being so similar since no new elements to the parkour was added. The simplicity of the parkour was also praised because it allows players to focus on getting where they want to and making impressive and awesome jumps/ kills.
