In terms of atmosphere, the original Assassin's Creed was amazing.  So if they can bring mission variety and challenging gameplay to that quality of setting: I'm all for it.

And lo, my anticipation of Assassin Creed 2 has risen ten fold.

Man this looks awesome, I loved the first game so this really can't disappoint.

Its doesnt look like Altair (who ever is the current assasin guy) has updated to the fashions of the time and place as well. No more blending into a crowd of similarly dressed guys? Also seems like a lot more water in the environments hopefully the Assasins have incorporated the obligatory sequel swimming classes into their daily regime.

So touching water doesn't equal instant death like in the last game? That's a relief because I hated the level in the ship dockyard from the first game.

Hey, that's definitely Assassin's Creed. Also, the Da Vinci flying machine? Aaaabsuuurd.

I was hoping for a radically different character design from Altair (ie. based on a different animal) and, tbh, a more interesting setting.  Maybe that's like The Creed gang colours now, they have to dress like Altair no matter how inappropriate it is.

The knight with the axe looks pretty bad ass, I bet he doesn't waste his time skulking around roof tops like a girl either.

Yeah since most of these are from GI it seems believable they're real. Game does look nice, and to whoever said it, the cutscenes in AC were part of the game, in other words there really weren't any, so I'd say this is GP footage

I suppose it isn't GB's responsibility to put up impartial, unbiased news posts (it's really not) but if the headline lacked "Really?" part, there'd be very different responses to the images. Just sayin'.

Looks hot, didn't play the first one so I can approach this one with a fresh view. Should be a lot of fun hopefully.

There's a screenshot of the character jumping into water, so I'm hoping you'll be able to swim in the game. I thought it was kinda lame that jumping in the water in the first game was an instant death.

Hopefully they'll be able to iron out some of the flaws of the first (repetitive missions, too much dialogue).
Other than that, the first Assassin's Creed was a really fun game.

I really like how they have incorperated the night scene, after playing the first AC, i got sick of seeing sun scorched grass and dirt lol.

Damn. I was all ready to cynical, but now I'm really excited for assassin's creed 2.
