Hey! Look at me! I'm a Ghostbuster! When Sony announced that it had picked up publishing rights for Ghostbusters: The Video Game for Europe and Australia, making the game a PlayStation 3 exclusive for at least a few months, it was kind of a bummer. Atari, it would seem, is sympathetic to the plight of those who got the raw end of that bargain--namely, anyone who loves bustin' ghosts but doesn't own a PS3--as Destructoid is reporting that Atari has confirmed that the North American version of Ghostbusters for the Xbox 360 will be region-free. This means that, other than paying the premium usually associated with importing games from other regions, there's nothing else stopping you from playing that US game in your European or Australian Xbox 360. Though, it is my understanding that games in the EU and AUS cost roughly the same as a large trash bag full of cocaine, so you might actually save some money getting your import on. It would seem that Wii owners are still out of luck, though the real loser now is whoever gets stuck holding the Ghostbusters publishing rights for Xbox 360 in Europe and Australia later this year.
