Ann Shepard

Overview

Ann Shepard is an elderly woman in Heavy Rain suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.  Upon learning of the existence of John Shepard and his brother, Madison Paige visits Ann at the nursing home with the intent of learning the name of Ann's other son.  However, the information does not come easily.  Madison attempts to befriend Ann by doing things that she feels the elderly woman would appreciate, such as bringing her flowers she takes from a hallway vase and folding origami figurines from a "how to" book sitting on a desk in the room.
 
Eventually, Ann gives up the information that Madison had sought, and whispers the name of John's brother in her ear.
