    Overview

This expansion to Aliens Versus Predator 2 once again features three separate (though considerably shorter) single player campaigns, and introduces three new classes that can also be used in multiplayer; the Ancient Predator, the PredAlien and the Corporate Marine.

    Gameplay

While gameplay remains largely similar to the base game, a number of smaller changes and additions have been made for each faction.

    Corporate

Major Dunya reappears in the expansion, this time as the playable character. A member of the corporate mercenaries known as the Iron Bears, she has access to some different gear compared to her marine counterparts. Her motion tracker senses movement in 360 degrees around her, but has a range limited to 15 meters instead of 30. In addition, she has the ability to dual wield handguns, and can carry and place automated sentries. The end of the corporate campaign sees her manning a newly added turret gun, a stationary but more armored version of the minigun, fully loaded with 900 rounds.

    Predator

Nicknamed ”The Ancient” stemming from the fact that his campaign starts 500 years before the events of the original game, the predator’s only new weapon is called the energy flechette. This weapon is less powerful than the shoulder cannon but has a significantly higher rate of fire, making it more useful against large groups of enemies. A self destruction mechanic was also added to the predator, though only available in the multiplayer portion of the game. When at 10% health or lower the player can activate this function on their wristband, blowing up the predator and damaging nearby enemies.

    Predalien

Starting as a chestburster (that can now pounce trough grates) this campaign has the player impregnating a predator, resulting in the predalien. Previously only available as a multiplayer class, the predalien retains the speed and agility of the regular alien drone, but is more resilient making it harder to kill. The ability to perform headbites to restore health has now been added to this class. Since the predalien lacks the iconic ”second mouth” it uses mandibles (similar to that of the predator) to eat heads.
