As the youngest child of Carmine "The Roman" Falcone, Alberto was raised to lead a "normal" life away from the criminal activities of his family despite his eagerness to follow in his father's footsteps. His desire to earn his stripes as part of the Falcone criminal empire and Carmine's insistence on keeping Alberto on the straight and narrow eventually leads to Alberto's psychotic break. He becomes the serial killer in Gotham City known as "The Holiday Killer", named as such for his modus operandi of murdering his victims on the major holiday of the month, which also earns him the ire of Julian Day AKA Calendar Man.
