    Overview

'96 Zenkoku Koukou Soccer Senshuken ("National High School Soccer '96 Championship") is a soccer game from Magical Company that revolves around a competition held for high school teams. It follows Zenkoku Koukou Soccer and Zenkoku Koukou Soccer 2.

The pitch is depicted from a horizontal perspective and the player is fixed to a certain position, rather than being able to switch to the athlete from their team that is closest to the ball. The story mode focuses on one player, watching them and their team progress through the various rounds of the national tournament. The player can configure the appearance of this protagonist and train them in various soccer skills to improve their performance in matches.
