3DO was a video game console manufactured by Panasonic, Goldstar, and Sanyo. Despite the initial hype surrounding the system, the console's $700 price tag proved to be the ultimate kiss of death for the system.
I still have it! But it's another model. Nice video. The headphone jack was actually good idea. And it had some good games. Quarantine was great. Samurai Showdown was I think the best home version. And Shockwave, yeah, I think that one was good. I remember that it came with a disc from Kodak where it showed you that you could get your pictures developed on a CD, then bring them on the system and do some stuff with them... like zoom or something. That alone gave me a few hours of fun. Trying to find hidden thing on the pictures that came with the system, because of course no one on my town at that time developed film on CDs. Keep them coming.
The 3DO was my first cd based system and blew my mind at the time. Looking back the games were not that spectacular but there were some gems. Loved playing Gex and FIFA on my panasonic.
