Rocket League takes the one kind of sport that I haven't enjoyed playing since Mega Man Soccer and makes it into a fun time again. Sure on the surface this game is rather basic since it still just comes down to hitting a ball into a goal. Yet it manages to teach players how to play basic Soccer better than the most complicated tutorial. Hey, wouldn’t it be cool if you could play soccer with cars? There’s a correct answer to that question (which is yes), and it’s really not that crazy of a question once you think about it. I’m sure we’ve all thought about this scenario or something similar at one point or another, and then we realize how dangerous that would be in real life, so the next best thing logically would be to put it in a video game. A very easy game to pick up and play. Rocket League gets you hooked on the simplicity of driving a car into a ball to play soccer. The game accelerates the potential by letting you play with all the controls in tandem, allowing for some crazy skill building. Top end players pull off crazy stunts to score, and because of the games ease of use, there is a healthy population of skilled players entry level and up.
