The Witch's home is the hub to all world's in Banjo-Kazooie and the place Gruntilda takes Tooty at the beginning of the game. The entrance of the lair is a facade of the witch's face with the tip of the hat being a tower and the scene of the game's end. The area is accessed from Spiral Mountain
In Grunty's Revenge, it was called Grunty's Palace. It may have been the original location of King Jingaling's castle as a stone cast of his head lies beneath where Gruntilda's facade now stands.
Inside the lair, Klungo and the Broomstick serve the witch, while Cheato, Brentilda, the Warp Cauldrons, and eventually Dingpot assist in her defeat.
In Banjo-Tooie, the Lair has fallen into severe disrepair. When the duo access the area via its now-broken rope bridge, they find the area caved-in near the access to Treasure Trove Cove. Cheato now resides resides in the main hall.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the lair is visible from Spiral Mountain but is inaccessible.
The opening bar of the lair's music resembles those of the song "The Teddy Bears' Picnic." The looming tone of the area alters in proximity to the entrance to different world's and mimics their respective musical themes.
