So this concept of rolling 3 years of xbox live gold into Game Pass Ultimate for just $1 seems too good to pass up. However I currently do not own the console. I was wondering if anyone might know, if I am able to purchase xbox live gold and have it converted to Game Pass Ultimate. The deadline for this deal i believe is July 1, and I was planning to wait for Amazon Prime Day sales to get the console mid-July. If it might be of any help, I think I could find the log in credentials to my old 360 account, but I'd rather not risk it.

You can create a Microsoft account and manage it through a web browser, so I don't see why the console would be necessary. In my case, I bought a 12 month Gold code from Best Buy, redeemed it, and converted to Ultimate entirely on xbox.com.
