    Lieutenant William Holt was an American soldier, mostly known for fighting with the European Allies against the Nazis in Medal of Honor: European Assault.

    William Holt is the main protagonist in Medal of Honor: European Assault. An American soldier sent to reinforce the European Allies, he participated in campaigns in France, North Africa, Russia and Belgium to fight against the Nazis. During these campaigns, Holt was given command of his own squad, assisting him in every mission. Holt managed to destroy the Germans' main stronghold during the Battle of the Bulge, thus weakening the Nazi forces, and clearing the path to the Allies' victory in World War II.

    Holt is also a playable character in Medal of Honor: Heroes, again focusing on his efforts during the Battle of the Bulge.
