Founded in December 2004, after the Warzone 2100 fan community Pumpkin-2 managed to get EIDOS and Pumpkin Studios to publish the source code for Warzone 2100. The community have since updated the game with higher resolution textures, new shaders, support for additional platforms (including Linux and Mac) and much more.
The team mainly consist of fans of the game, though early in the project's life there was some input from ex-Pumpkin and EIDOS staff.
