    Overview

VRAGE is a video game engine developed in-house by Keen Software House for use in their games. VRAGE is meant to stand for volumetric rage or voxel rage.

    VRAGE 1.0

The first incarnation of the VRAGE engine was built for use in the game Miner Wars 2081. The core feature of VRAGE 1.0 is destructible voxel terrain.

    VRAGE 2.0

The VRAGE 2.0 incarnation of the engine was developed for Space Engineers. The engine was built to support large scale volumetric entities and DirectX 11 rendering. Keen Software House's game Medieval Engineers also utilizes VRAGE 2.0.
