For a second there, I thought the "4" button on the elevator was going to light up at the end, indicating "IW 4."

This trailer is about as teaserish as any other teaser trailer, which just serves to remind me why I don't like teaser trailers. This does nothing more than confirm that the game is coming out; a fact I was very well aware of before watching this.

edit: Also, it's interesting that this trailer drops the "Call of Duty" branding altogether, just using "Modern Warfare 2." Wonder if the final product is going to go that route?

i think call of duty and modern warfare are going to become 2 seperate franchises, call of duty sticking in ww2 done by trearch meanwhile infinity ward will surge on with this whole new franchise... just a thought.

Dropping the "Call of Duty" name was an interesting move. I've got no problems with a "Modern Warfare" franchise, personally, but it'll be interesting to see how they approach this game.  Perhaps it'll be too similar to CoD4, or perhaps it'll stray too far away from the Call of Duty gameplay.
It's impossible to say at this point, but unless they completely destroy the game, no force of nature can stop me from buying the sequel to CoD4.

At least it tells us when its coming out, lots of times they just drop 2009 or 2010 or the crappiest thing a developer could say, when its done.  how is it that some can stay on schedule and make a great game while others just feel like they have an open schedule.  Holywood, book writers, other mediums have deadlines so why not here, love that Infinity ward marks a target and sticks to it.  You can make a great game and get it out on time!

What's not to like about a teaser trailer like this one?

I say nothing, that teaser was done well and i liked it, mysterious yet left us on the edge of asking a lot of questions ,right now, this is my most anticipated game of 09.It's that simple folks.

Green lines have never been so funky. This trailer kinda makes it look like a horror game.

Great trailer. A trailer should tease. I love Russian stuff like this. Probably cliché but I don't care. It was smart.

I was fooled by the hype of the first one just find out is sucked. I'll pass on this one.

This game is gonna be awesome because it's made by the good Call of Duty company, Infinity Ward. You know, the company that should be making the games.

Wish the teaser was a bit more...teasing, but I'm sure the game will be great nonetheless since its made by IW and not that other game company that doesn't deserve to be mentioned.

One of the best teasers I've seen. Period. And no, I do not need to see gameplay to know that Infinity Ward is going to make one hell of a game. IMO
