How could they do this to the Front Mission series?

The game is coming out in three months which means it's pretty much done. The game will be terrible.

This ain't the Front Mission I remember.

I hope the new Mechwarrior game performs because this just ain't what I'm looking for in my mech-em-ups. Looks like an off brand Armored Core...

Never heard of this series before and I've not played a lot mecha-games, but this looks pretty good

Don't compare this to Armored Core. Armored core customization was multitudes more complicated, as well the mobility in Armored Core is what these guys wish they had implemented.

So it's Front Mission meets Armored Core minus everything that made Front Mission fun and/or interesting. I Also it says a lot about the game when the Devs can't even get excited enough to talk about their own game.

Where is Mechwarrior when you need a dose of robot action?

I really really really want in a game like this to be able to pick/customize for the giant mech similar to the one from the later episodes of Excel Saga.

Armored Core was cool. But then I played Mech Warrior. This is not Mech Warrior.

At first I was all like, "FUCK YES! A FRONTMISSION GAMEON MY PC!", but then I was like, "wait it's not aTurnbased Strategy game?". Then I cried myself to sleep for a week.

Yo dawg, I heard you like turn based strategy so we put action in your turn based strategy so you can cry while you don't buy it.

I like Front Mission, but as a turnbased SRPG.  Games like Front Mission 3 and 4 I loved.  I'll give this one a chance, but I generally don't like actiony mech games.

- Touting really generic things as 'features' "Three leg types guys! Cool right? Right?....guys?"
- Really dorky white guys talking about this stuff, I felt a little bad for them.
- Loved the comment about the amount of detail in the environments - looked like something out of an MMO.
 
And I was willing to overlook all these things in hopes of a good customizable mech game, until the cutscene shot at the end; bad just bad. Also, sounds like Nolan got himself some more work as Generic Brown Haired Hero.

Definitely.  I loved Chromehounds and I love the SRPG Front Missions, but this game doesn't really appeal to me.  "

His face at 3:01 pretty much sums up this whole video for me.

God they sound boring as hell. You'd expect some excitement when they talk about their game.

Robust customization? In mechwarrior I could choose from dozens of mechs and dozens of weapons, and potentially millions of weapons/heatsink/armor combinations. Plus this game looks too fast paced.

If i hear "Vanzer" one more time...
